Fighters: Learn how to sell your fights! Part 1

Fighters: Learn how to sell your fights! Part 1 By Robert Elmore: I can sit all day and night and talk about how boxing is dying and promoters are ruining the sport. But I won’t. I still watch boxing to this day and try to check out the new prospects when I get a chance. There are two major reasons why some have lost interest in boxing. One, half of the champions are not Americans; which I will touch more on in part two. And two and this is a big one to me; the fighters don’t know how to market themselves to get big fights and pay days. Jack Johnson was a very flamboyant man whose lifestyle, cockiness, and dating white women made him a marked man. He lived in an era where black men were not allowed to fight for the title and he longed for a shot. So what did he do? He put together a two year campaign to fight with champion Tommy Burns. For two years, Johnson chased Burns and taunted him until finally the Canadian gave in. The end result: The fight drew 20,000 spectators, and John...

The Best MMA Supplement

The Best MMA Supplement January 24, 2011 Jonathan Stamey Editor/Dir of Operations The Best MMA Supplement Posted in The MMA Diet I’m asked on a continual basis one of the following generic questions: What’s the best thing I can do to lose weight? How can I burn fat? I want to put on a little bit of muscle, how do I do that? Shortly following my first question (what do you eat?) I’ve realized that my FIRST suggestion is almost always the same…eat more protein. Protein is the Answer For all those questions above, the answer could easily be to just consume more protein. Sure it’s slightly more complicated than that, but if there was only one thing I could suggest to everyone who asks me those questions…that would be my response.... THE BEST MMA SUPPLEMENT!

Holyfield vs Williams

Image
Holyfield-Williams no decision By Brady Crytzer at ringside Legendary heavyweight world champion Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield (43-10-2, 28 KOs) and Sherman “Tank” Williams (34-11, 19 KOs) ended in a three round no-contest on Saturday night at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The 48-year-old Holyfield was cut over the left eye in round two by an unintentional headbutt and rocked by a Williams right hand in round three. After the round Evander said he couldn’t see and the bout was declared a no contest. The cut could very well jeopardize Evander’s scheduled March 5 fight against Brian Nielsen in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the co-feature, former heavyweight title challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (24-1-1, 10 KOs), who took the bout on short notice, won an eight round unanimous decision over 300lb, seven-footer Julius Long (15-15, 13 KOs). Johnson dropped Long twice in round eight. Scores were 79-71 on all cards. Former heavyweight title challenger Monte B...

Other researchers have added to this list another risk factor: the compulsive, hard-driving, highly anxious personality. The greater the number of severity, the greater the person's overall risk. These threats to the heart can be divided into two main categories: those beyond individual control, such as age, sex, and heredity, and those that can be controlled, avoided, or even eliminated. Among those in the second category are what cardiologists call "the triple threat." These are the high blood pressure, cigarette smoking, and high cholesterol levels in the blood. If you smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, your risk of having a heart attack is ...

Best Way to Start a Home Based Business and Realistically Make $500-$5000. Those that have decided to take the smoother life and work from home have gained the benefits of a quieter and more flexible way of living. Nothing beats doing the things you love first, and working second. Most people think that working from home sacrifices the high paying jobs that you would get in the corporate world. This is far from the truth, many have started home based businesses or even just clerical tasks from the comfort of their desks while watching TV or taking care of the kids, all while still earning a sizable income. The recent increase in businesses as well as the ability to track, make payments and interact over the internet has allowed many companies to outsource a lot of their work to regular people just like you and I right from the comfort of our own homes. You Can Reach Your Maximum Potential With Subliminal Messages

Image
Our minds are unique, every one of us is different, and as we grow and learn things we all progress slightly differently. We are all different, and perhaps some of us receive positive reinforcement in school and go on to do well academically. Others revel in sports, they receive constructive praise for their sporting achievements and really put in the practice - on the way developing the proper mindset and patterns of thinking required for sports success. Sadly, people also receive negative feedback - being told they are no good academically, or that they won't ever be successful in a certain area. This causes a negative reaction in our brains. Some neuron pathways close down and others open up, but essentially we limit our very own potential. This is a small amount of self sabotage, but mainly a safety mechanism - to safeguard ourselves from further negative comments, feelings and inner thoughts.
